It is available as a white crystalline powder that can be dissolved in water or other solvents. Thiamphenicol palmitate is used to treat bacterial infections in humans, animals, and plants. Thiamphenicol palmitate is also used to treat bacterial infections caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae in children under 6 years old.
