Product Information
4-Isopropylphenylacetyl chloride is a calcium channel antagonist that has been shown to be an effective antagonist of T-type calcium channels. It is synthesized by reacting pyridine with 4-chloroacetophenone in the presence of a chiral catalyst, such as rhodium acetate. The resulting compound is converted to its corresponding chloride in high yield and enantioselectivity. 4-Isopropylphenylacetyl chloride has been shown to be a scalable process, which can be scaled up from milligrams to kilograms without significant loss of yield or enantioselectivity.
