Product Information
8-Iodo-naphthalen-1-ylamine is an azide that is synthesized in a two step process. It can be used as a precursor to synthesize diazonium salts and other compounds. 8-Iodo-naphthalen-1-ylamine has been used in the synthesis of diazepinone, which is a potent and selective inhibitor of the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase. 8-Iodo-naphthalen-1-ylamine reacts selectively with alkyne groups to form 1,2,3,4,5,6 tetrahydropyrimidines. This reaction is stereoselective because the product may only exist as a single enantiomer.
