3-(Dichloroacetyl)-2,2,5-trimethyloxazolidine is a synthetic antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by acting as an inhibitor of RNA synthesis. 3-(Dichloroacetyl)-2,2,5-trimethyloxazolidine is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and has also been shown to be active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and some viruses. 3-(Dichloroacetyl)-2,2,5-trimethyloxazolidine is available in high purity with a CAS number of 52836-31-4.
