Product Information
Methyl (2,3-dihydro-3-oxo-4H-1,4-benzothiazin-4-yl)acetate is a heterocyclic compound that has been shown to form a conformationally restricted hydrogen bond between the oxygen and sulfur atoms. This type of bond is not found in other compounds with this structure. The crystal structure of methyl (2,3-dihydro-3-oxo-4H-1,4-benzothiazin-4)acetate was determined in two forms: one with the sulfur atom coordinated to two oxygen atoms and the other with the sulfur atom coordinated to three oxygen atoms. The former conformation is more stable than the latter.
