Product Information
MTX-211 is a small molecule that combines two strategies to inhibit cancer cell growth. It inhibits the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and also binds to the heme group of urea nitrogen, preventing its conversion into ammonia. MTX-211 has been shown to induce apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells by inhibiting the production of Hif-1α, which leads to the inhibition of erythropoietin synthesis. The drug has also been shown to inhibit tumor cell proliferation in clinical studies.
