Product Information
- 1-(p-Toluenesulfonyl)pyrrole-2-aldehyde
- 1-[(4-methylphenyl)sulfonyl]-1H-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde
1-(p-Toluenesulfonyl)pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde (1TPSAC) is a synthetic compound that is benzannulated with 6-azaindole. The resulting compound has been shown to have a structure-based drug activity against the bacterial enzyme gyrase, which causes resistance to multiple drugs. This synthetic compound has the ability to cross-resist between multidrug resistant bacteria and can be modified easily to produce derivatives with different properties. 1TPSAC also has an inhibitory effect on chloride channel proteins.
