FUB-PB-22 is a novel synthetic cannabinoid derivative that binds to the CB2 receptor. It has been shown to be a potent agonist of this receptor, and was found to have similar effects in vivo as the natural ligand 2-arachidonoylglycerol. FUB-PB-22 also has long-term toxicity in humans. In vitro assays showed that FUB-PB-22 may inhibit leukocyte chemotaxis and cytokine production. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that FUB-PB-22 produced significant changes in locomotor activity and in vivo human immunochemical assays, but not in vitro assays. Structural analysis of FUB-PB-22 revealed that it is an analog of CP 47,497, which is structurally related to JWH 018 and WIN 55212.
