Product Information
2-p-Tolyl-benzo[D]imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole-3-carboxaldehyde is a quinoline derivative that inhibits cell proliferation. It binds to receptors and inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are important mediators of inflammation. 2-p-Tolyl-benzo[D]imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole-3-carboxaldehyde was shown to inhibit prostate cancer cells in vitro. This compound has also been shown to have metal chelate activity, which may be related to its toxicity profile and biological properties. 2-p-Tolyl-benzo[D]imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole-3-carboxaldehyde has been shown to inhibit lymphocyte transformation in vitro and may therefore be useful for treatment of infectious diseases as well as cancer.
