- (+)-Coclauril
Coclauril is a natural compound that has been shown to be a potent antiviral agent. Coclauril has been found to have the ability to form stable complexes with viral particles, and it can be used for the treatment of hepatitis and other viral diseases. The validation and control analysis of coclauril was done by using boraginaceae extracts as the source of this compound. The molecular weight, structure, physical properties, spectral data, and chemical formula were determined by NMR spectroscopy. The analytical method for phyllanthaceae was developed in order to identify menisdaurin as the active component in pulmonaria leaves. Coclauril has been shown to inhibit proliferation of human lung cancer cells in culture and may have potential as a therapeutic agent for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
