Description:
2,6-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methanol is a benzylating agent that can be used in the synthesis of herbicides. It is also a reactant in the preparation of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. This chemical has been shown to react with anion, chloride, formaldehyde, methoxyethoxymethyl, and alkali. The chemical is also used as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals such as benzene and an aralkyl.
