- 1,1-Dimethylethyl 2-(5-bromo-3-pyridinyl)-4-morpholinecarboxylate
tert-Butyl 2-(5-bromopyridin-3-yl)morpholine-4-carboxylate (BPMC) is an analytical reagent that is used to determine the oxidative injury in a cell. It can be used as a potential biomarker for oxidative stress. The oxidative injury of cells can be detected by measuring the formation of BPMC and its oxidation products, which are derivatives of tert-butyl 2-(5-bromopyridin-3-yl)morpholine 4-[2,2,2] trifluoroacetate. The reagents needed for this assay include sodium carbonate and rat liver microsomes. This reaction mechanism can be synergized with trifluoroacetic acid or dinitrophenol.
