Product Information

Name:
(2-Ethyl-4-methoxy)phenylboronic acid
Description:

(2-Ethyl-4-methoxy)phenylboronic acid is an organic compound that can be synthesized by the reaction of boron trioxide with 2-ethyl-4-methoxyphenol. It is soluble in hexane, solvents, and type reactions at temperatures between -78 and 110 degrees Celsius. The demethylation of this compound can be achieved with a suzuki coupling reaction with pentane or tetrahydrofuran as solvents, catalytic conditions, and chloroform as the chemical denaturant. Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid is used as the catalyst for this reaction; pyridine is also used as a solvent. This organic compound is soluble in aromatic solvents such as ethylmagnesium chloride or trifluoromethanesulfonic acid.
