Product Information
- Tw-37
TW-37 is a small molecule that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. TW-37 is a synthetic compound, which binds to the notch-1 protein to inhibit cell growth and induce apoptosis. The molecular mechanism of TW-37 involves binding to the notch receptor and inhibiting expression of Bcl-2, a pro-apoptotic protein. This inhibition leads to an increase in the expression of pro-apoptotic proteins such as p53, Bax, and caspase 3. It also has potential as a biomarker for solid tumours since it targets human serum albumin which is present at high levels in these cancers.
