6-Alkynyl-Fucose is a potent inhibitor of the acetylcholine receptor. 6-Alkynyl-Fucose binds to the acetylcholine receptor and inhibits peptide binding, which prevents activation of the receptor. 6-Alkynyl-Fucose has been shown to inhibit ion channels, such as potassium channels, and Ligand-gated ion channels. It also binds to antibody and prevent activation. This compound has been used in research tools for Cell Biology and Cell Signaling studies.
