Product Information
PFE-360 is a neuroprotective compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of protein kinase C in vitro. It also prevents long-term potentiation and suppresses the development of Parkinson's disease in wild-type mice. PFE-360 has been shown to protect neurons against damage induced by glutamate, which is implicated in conditions such as stroke and Alzheimer's disease. PFE-360 also protects against neuronal cell death induced by amyloid beta peptide, which is implicated in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. PFE-360 has been shown to protect against oxidative stress, excitotoxicity and phospholipid oxidation. PFE-360 is currently being developed for the treatment of neurological disorders associated with aging or injury that are characterized by neural degeneration.
