Product Information
Resveratrol is a polyphenol that has been shown to have anti-cancer properties. Resveratrol has been shown to induce apoptosis in leukemia cells through the activation of caspases, which are enzymes involved in cell death. Resveratrol may also be useful in the treatment of cancer due to its ability to inhibit tumor growth and proliferation by inducing hypoxia-induced or hypoxia-inducible phenotypes. Studies using lymphoblastic leukemia cells showed that resveratrol decreases the number of leukemia cells and induces their apoptosis, as well as inhibiting their growth. It was also shown to inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in carcinoma cells.
