Ribocil-C is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of natural antibiotics. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi, including Microsporum canis, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Candida albicans. Ribocil-C has also shown antiviral properties against human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and influenza A virus. Ribocil-C is structurally related to other natural antibiotics such as erythromycin, clindamycin, and lincomycin. The chemical name for Ribocil-C is 2-[2-(2-chlorophenyl)-1H-benzimidazol-3(2H)-ylidene]-N-(4'-chlorobiphenylmethyl)acetamide.
