Product Information
2-Chloro-5-hydrazinylbenzoic acid is a modified molecule that modifies the costimulatory molecules CTLA-4. It has been shown to be effective in activating T cells. 2-Chloro-5-hydrazinylbenzoic acid has also been shown to induce antigen presenting cells and modify their function, which could lead to an increased capacity for the induction of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. This molecule inhibits the activation of these cells by blocking the signal transduction pathway downstream from the receptor, which prevents it from forming a complex with a costimulatory molecule such as B7 on antigen presenting cells. The end result is an increase in cytotoxicity and immunogenicity of these cells.
