Product Information
Sodium ((2R,3S,4R,5R)-5-(6-amino-9H-purin-9-yl)-3,4-dihydroxytetrahydrofuran-2-yl)methyl phosphate hydrate (SPP) is a sodium salt that is not water soluble and has the potential for hydrolysis. SPP is used as a crystallization agent in the synthesis of purines. The interaction of SPP with human serum albumin and receptor mediated degradative pathways are used to measure its degradation properties. SPP can be degraded by ammonolysis or ligand exchange reactions. It also has the ability to interact with hydroxyapatite and serum albumin, which are components of bone tissue. SPP is a competitive inhibitor for synchronous fluorescence assays for amines and quaternary ammonium compounds.
