Product Information
The fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) family consists of four transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases (FGFR1-4), which regulate important physiological processes, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, migration and survival throughout the body. FGFR2b is known as the epithelial FGFR2 isoform. FGFR2b/KGFR is exclusively expressed in epithelial cells and can be activated by stimulation with its specific ligands FGF7/KGF or FGF10. Ligand binding results in a signalling cascade which includes phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signalling pathways and/or activation of phospholipase C-γ (Plc-γ). FGFR2b activation culminates in the survival, growth, and differentiation of epithelial cells, triggers phagocytosis and melanosome uptake in human keratinocytes and is critical for proper craniofacial development.
1mg/ml. For use in WB (1:100) and ELISA (1:1000). Reacts with human.
