Product Information

Name:
Anti-TDP-43 antibody
Description:

TAR DNA binding protein 43 (TDP-43) is a highly conserved protein that binds RNA via its two RNA recognition motifs RRM1 and RRM2, thereby regulating RNA processing. Binding regulates mRNA stability by recruiting CNOT7/CAF1 deadenylase on mRNA 3'UTR leading to poly(A) tail deadenylation, and shortening. TDP-43 aggregates are linked to numerous neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Alzheimer's disease (AD), and limbic predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy (LATE). This TDP-43 antibody detects the native form of the protein without modifications. We also have an antibody available to the phosphorylated form, serines 409 and 410.
N01 0.2mg/ml, N03 0.3mg/ml. Used for ELISA (1:1000). Reacts with human.

The asterisk indicates truncated TDP-43.
