Dde biotin-PEG4-alkyne is a potent, cell permeable and selective small molecule activator of the nuclear receptor PPARβ/δ. Dde biotin-PEG4-alkyne is an analogue of the natural ligand 9-cis retinoic acid (9cRA) that binds to PPARβ/δ with high affinity and specificity. It has been shown to inhibit the expression of inflammatory mediators in vitro and in vivo, as well as activate PPARβ/δ.
