Description:
Dimethyl decahydro-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate (DMND) is an antioxidant compound that is found in plants. DMND has been found to scavenge reactive oxygen species and inhibit 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5HIAA), the major metabolite of serotonin. DMND has also been shown to be a potent antioxidant against lipid peroxidation. It is used as a monomer for polyunsaturated polymerized compounds and can be used as a diagnostic agent for oxidative degradation of polymers.
