Alumina n-butoxide is a compound that is used in the synthesis of cellulose derivatives. It has an average particle size of about 1 micron, a high resistance to acidic conditions, and a low reactivity with chloride. Alumina n-butoxide is also resistant to light exposure and has a high thermal expansion coefficient. The chemical formula for alumina n-butoxide is AlO(OBu)2. The molecular weight of alumina n-butoxide is 602.07 grams per mole. Alumina n-butoxide has been shown to be reactive with aliphatic hydrocarbons and it contains functional groups such as carboxylates, hydroxyls, and ethers.
