Tert-Butylcyclohexane is an inhibitor of cycloheximide, which is a molecule that inhibits protein synthesis. It has been shown to inhibit the phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase, which regulates intracellular calcium concentrations and induces cerebellar granule cells. Tert-Butylcyclohexane has been shown to be a potent inducer of protein synthesis in cell culture models. Tert-Butylcyclohexane has been shown to react with alkanoic acid, forming reactive molecules that are metabolized by hydroxyl group or phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase. This compound also has magnetic resonance spectroscopy data and nmr spectra for its molecular structure.
