2-Myristoylglycerol-d5 is a molecule that binds to the angiogenic factor receptor. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo and to inhibit choroidal neovascularization in mice. 2-Myristoylglycerol-d5 also has an inhibitory effect on the production of colony-stimulating factor by liver cells and may be useful for treatment of diabetic neuropathy. This molecule is a fatty acid that contains molybdenum, which is essential for its biological activity.
