Description:
Albaspidin AA is an extract of the fructus Dryopteris that has been shown to be effective against influenza viruses. This extract binds to the virus and inhibits its ability to infect cells. Albaspidin AA also has a strong antiviral effect on animals, such as chickens and ducks, which are susceptible to avian influenza. The dryopteris fructus is obtained by extraction with alcohol and water, followed by column chromatography.
