It has been shown to have immunosuppressive effects in the immune microenvironment and to inhibit enzymes such as cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX). 1,3-Dibenzyloxybenzene also acts as an estrogen receptor modulator, which may be due to its structural similarity to estradiol.
