Description:

N-Ethyl-2,4-dinitroaniline is a synthetic chemical that can be used as a precursor in the synthesis of other compounds. The compound is used to synthesize piperidine derivatives. Deuterium isotope analysis has revealed that N-Ethyl-2,4-dinitroaniline undergoes demethylation, carboxamido, proton and iminium ion formation reactions. It also undergoes dehydrogenase and kinetic reactions. N-Ethyl-2,4-dinitroaniline reacts with chloride to form nitrous acid and thiosulfonates. The compound also has biomolecular properties due to its amines and amides groups.
