Description

Disperse blue 26 is a polymer film that is used in the medical field as a coagulant. It is activated by metal ions such as chloride and reacts with organic solvents to form a water-insoluble precipitate. Disperse blue 26 has been shown to be an effective coagulant for human keratin, which has been shown to have clinical relevance for the treatment of skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema. The kinetic of Disperse blue 26 has been studied using deionized water and methanol extraction, which shows that it can be used as a coagulant in both cases.
