Product Information

Name:
Methyllinderone
Description:

Methyllinderone is a cardiac arrhythmia agent that has been shown to be effective in treating inflammatory bowel disease and cryptococcus neofomans. Methyllinderone inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines and activates the MAP kinase pathway, which regulates cellular processes such as cell growth and differentiation. Methyllinderone also has significant cytotoxicity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cancer cells from dividing. Methyllinderone binds to the terpene receptor, inhibiting the biosynthesis of terpenes. This drug also has significant antifungal activity against Cryptococcus neoformans with an IC50 of 0.5 µM, but does not inhibit other fungi such as Candida albicans or Aspergillus fumigatus. The chemical structure of methyllinderone is similar to cyclopentadione (CPD). CPD inhibits the enzyme phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), which
