Description

Ethiofencarb-sulfone is a growth regulator that is used in the control of agricultural pests. It inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which leads to an increase in acetylcholine levels and an inhibition of coagulation. Ethiofencarb-sulfone has been found to be efficient at trapping viruses such as HIV, Influenza A and Hepatitis B on surfaces. This method of virus capture is called matrix effect. Ethiofencarb-sulfone has also been shown to inhibit the activity of bacterial enzymes involved in coagulation and protein synthesis. This product can also be used for sample preparation before more thorough analysis by mass spectrometry or ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography.
