Description:
Benzo[C][1,8]naphthyridin-6(5H)-one is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be effective against cancer in animal models. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of human colon cancer xenografts and tumor tissues in mice. This drug is also able to inhibit the expression of cellular genes that are involved in tumor development, such as histone H3 and aurora-b. Benzo[c][1,8]naphthyridin-6(5H)-one may be used for the treatment of cancers where there is no standard therapy available.
