Description:

Benzodioxane is a benzodioxan derivative that is used in pharmaceutical preparations. It has been used as a cationic surfactant, ethylene polymerization catalyst, and hydrogen peroxide initiator. Benzodioxane is also an electrophotographic developer, glycol ether solvent, and fatty acid ester solubilizer. It can be used as a component of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) to produce a water-soluble polymer. Benzodioxane has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit the formation of prostaglandin E2 from arachidonic acid.
