Product Information

Name:
3-Ethynylcinnoline
Description:

3-Ethynylcinnoline is a chemical compound that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cerebral infarction, cardiac infarction, pulmonary embolism, and coagulation. It is also effective in the prevention of organ dysfunction. 3-Ethynylcinnoline reversibly inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking the conversion of thromboxane A2 to prostacyclin. This chemical also promotes fibrinolysis through its ability to activate plasminogen. 3-Ethynylcinnoline has been shown to induce clotting by forming an n-oxide at physiological pH levels. The carbonyl groups on this compound react with hydrocarbon groups to form a thrombolytic intermediate that can break down clots and restore blood flow to areas of the body that have been deprived of oxygen due to blockage.
