Product Information

Name:
1-Bromo-7-(tert-butyl)pyrene
Description:

1-Bromo-7-(tert-butyl)pyrene is a cross-coupled organic compound that can be used as a precursor to synthesize other compounds. It can be prepared by the palladium-catalyzed coupling of 1,1'-(diphenyl)ferrocene with 7-(tert-butyl)pyrene. The compound has been shown to have fluorescence properties and can be used in the preparation of fluorescent materials. Its optical properties are dependent on the solvent. For example, when in dichloromethane solution, it emits green light at 590 nm with an emission lifetime of 0.2 seconds. When in chloroform or acetonitrile solution, it emits yellow light at 600 nm with an emission lifetime of 0.4 seconds.
