Product Information
Methyl thiomorpholine-3-carboxylate is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of amines. It is a white crystalline solid. Methyl thiomorpholine-3-carboxylate is used as a precursor for other chemicals, such as formaldehyde, benzene, and diethylamine. This chemical reacts with paraformaldehyde to produce paraformaldehyde oxime and methylene glycol. Methyl thiomorpholine-3-carboxylate also has properties of an acid ester and an ester. The tautomerism of this compound can be observed in its reactions with l-cysteine and diphenylamine to produce 2,5-dimethoxyphenol and 3-(4'-methylphenyl)morpholine. The reactivity of methyl thiomorpholine-3-carboxylate can be seen in its reactions with amines to produce the corresponding amides or nitriles
