Product Information
GSK 366 is a recombinant, humanized monoclonal antibody that has been used as a research tool in the study of protein interactions and ion channels. GSK 366 binds to the extracellular domain of the receptor for nerve growth factor (NGF) with high affinity and specificity. Binding of GSK 366 to the NGF receptor leads to inhibition of NGF-induced activation or signaling through this receptor. The binding site on GSK 366 for the NGF receptor is distinct from that of other antibodies, such as trkA, which are known to bind to the intracellular domain of the same receptor. This antibody is also able to inhibit proteases such as thrombin, chymotrypsin and elastase.
