Napyradiomycin A is an antiparasitic, antibiotic, and antiviral agent that is isolated from Streptomyces niveus. It has been shown to have antifungal and antibacterial activity against a variety of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Napyradiomycin A inhibits the DNA synthesis of microbes by interacting with their ribosomes. This drug has also been shown to inhibit the synthesis of proteins in virus-infected cells.
