Product Information
- Methoxydiacetamide
- N-Methoxydiacetamide
- N-acetyl-N-methoxyacetamide
N-Methoxydiacetamide is a selective acetylating reagent that reacts with amide groups and lysines, but not with amines. It has been successfully used to synthesize peptides containing acetylated lysines in the presence of other amino acids, including phenylalanine. This chemical reaction is efficient and can be used for the synthesis of small molecules that have modified side chains. N-Methoxydiacetamide has also been shown to modify the epigenome by acetylating histones and DNA.
