The crosslinking properties of this compound are activated by radiation from electromagnetic sources, such as sunlight or ultraviolet light, or by chemical activators. Carbazeran citrate has been shown to be an effective photocatalyst for the oxidation of aromatic compounds that can be used for dyeing fabrics.
