2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazine is an organic compound that has been used in the manufacture of electrochemical devices, such as field effect transistors. The thermal stability of 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazine is low because it melts at 174°C. 2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazine can be synthesized by reacting 4-(2H) pyridine with 1.2 equivalents of osmium tetroxide followed by reaction with 4.8 equivalents of phenyltriazole in a solvent such as chloroform or ether and then recrystallizing from acetone and methanol.
