Product Information

Name:
2-aminoprop-1-ene-1,1,3-tricarbonitrile
Description:

2-Aminoprop-1-ene-1,1,3-tricarbonitrile is a potential antitumor drug that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by targeting the protein pim-1. It can be used as an alternative to cisplatin, which is known to cause side effects such as kidney damage and hearing loss. 2APET has been shown to react with terminal alkynes and form electrochemical products that are capable of reacting with nucleophilic attack. This reaction leads to the formation of pim-1 kinase condensation products, which inhibit the activity of pim-1 kinase in tumor cells. 2APET also inhibits cancer cell proliferation by inhibiting cellular division and inducing apoptosis (cell death).
