Product Information
p-Ethynylphenylalanine is an alkynyl group with a phenyl group substituted on the ethynyl carbon. It has been shown to inhibit the biosynthesis of serotonin and reduce the activity of 5-HT1A receptors. This chemical can be used in bioconjugate chemistry to form conjugates with other biologically active molecules, such as proteins, peptides, and carbohydrates. p-Ethynylphenylalanine has a palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction that can be used to form diols from aldehydes or ketones. It also inhibits DPP4 activity and may be useful for treating diabetes.
