Product Information

Name:
Methyl 4-phenyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate
Description:

Methyl 4-phenyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate (MPPC) is a quinoxaline derivative that has been shown to have antiproliferative activity against cancer cells. It inhibits the kinase activity of protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) and regulates cellular signaling pathways by inhibiting serine/threonine protein kinase, which leads to the attenuation of tumor cell proliferation. This molecule also induces apoptosis in cancer cells. MPPC is an analog of PTP inhibitor, which is a class of anti-cancer drugs that are currently being investigated for their potential as anticancer agents. The development of MPPC as an anticancer drug is still in the early stages.
