Product Information
GlyH-101 is a drug that inhibits the function of CFTR proteins, which are proteins that regulate the flow of ions across cell membranes. It binds to and inhibits the function of ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporters, which are proteins that transport molecules across cellular membranes. This inhibition leads to an increase in intracellular calcium concentration and a decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential. GlyH-101 has been shown to have a positive effect on the physiological functions of cardiac cells and primary cells, including regulation of intracellular calcium concentrations and mitochondrial membrane potential. GlyH-101 is also effective against models systems with coumarin derivatives as inhibitors, such as t84 cells and tubule cells. In these systems, GlyH-101 also promotes epidermal growth factor receptor activation at the apical membrane surface.
