Product Information
- 2-Methyl-2-propanyl [2-(1-hydroxyethyl)phenyl]carbamate
- 2-Methyl-2-propanyl-[2-(1-hydroxyethyl)phenyl]carbamat
Tert-Butyl N-[2-(1-hydroxyethyl) phenyl]carbamate is a chiral tert-butanol that is used in the synthesis of carbamates. It has been shown to be effective for the production of lipase. Tert-Butyl N-[2-(1-hydroxyethyl) phenyl]carbamate is a substrate for transesterification reactions catalyzed by lipases, and its enantiomeric excess can be controlled by enzymatic processes. This alcohol can also be used as a chiral auxiliary for kinetic resolution.
