NHS-S-S-dPEG®4-Biotin (Cleavable) is a biotinylated dextran sulfate that has been shown to have transfection activity in vitro. The NHS group is attached to the dextran sulfate via a cleavable linker, allowing for the release of the drug from the cell surface. This product has been found to be effective in experiments on cells from bowel diseases and cancer tissues. It has been shown to induce growth factors and inhibit protein synthesis, with potent inducers of cell proliferation.
