Product Information
Quinazolinones are a group of synthetic compounds that have been shown to regulate the expression of genes. The 2-mercapto-3-[3-(5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)propyl]quinazolinone (2M3QP) is a nitrogen nucleophile that has been shown to have anti-tumor activity with high yields. This compound also has the ability to inhibit the bromodomain and helps in the activation of transcription factors, such as p53 and p21, which regulate cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, respectively. 2M3QP has been shown to have an antitumor effect on epithelial cancers, hematological malignancies, and medulloblastoma. It has also been shown to increase immunity by inducing the production of Interleukin 10 (IL-10).
